Final Passage:  A proper tribute

"This flag is presented on behalf of a grateful nation, as a token of our appreciation for the honorable and faithful service rendered by your loved one.".

Statement read to the bereaved at every military funeral, accompanied by the presentation of an American Flag and spent casings from the rifle salute if performed at the ceremony.

Our Post will provide an Honor Squad for the funeral of any veteran who has honorably served his/her country.  This request is usually made by the funeral director on behalf of the family.  Request must be made to the Sgt. at Arms or Post Commander.
